The beach in front of its village is quiet, with sand, pebbles and deep crystal-clear waters, perfect for spear-fishing and camping. There is no organized infrastructure on the beach, but nearby are some restaurants and rooms to rent.
To get to the beach, follow the dirt-road from the village of Kapetaniana. After about 8 km you will arrive at the settlement of Aghios Ioannis and the beach. The passage is quite arduous, but the vistas over the Libyan sea will reward your efforts.
A deserted beach, it lies at the mouth of a gorge with the same name, at the end of a small promontory. Perfect for anyone in pursuit of seclusion and relaxation away from the fuss and bother of urban centres.
It is not organized, and has coarse sand, pebbles and clear deep waters.
To the east, you will discover an even more isolated beach, that of Aghios Antonios.
