The authentic Cretan approach to skincare with natural ingredients and recipes that truly work.
FISIKA skincare range is genuinely environmentally friendly, making no false promises and combining our passion for health and well-being with our commitment as women to make this world a slightly better place. Inspired by the recipes of our grandmothers for making soaps and cosmetics in her kitchen, we started our sustainable business in 2010, in a small village in Chania, Crete.
Initially driven by our family’s need for new, gentle, safe, and effective ways to care for our skin, we combined the legacy from our grandmothers, the creativity of our mother, and the vision of our daughter for clean, sincere design & marketing. Thus, FISIKA was born – meaning naturally in a natural way, and is a play on the name of our family (F. from Fyllo and Syka, our surname).
We invite you to join us as we prioritize healthy skin through sustainable means! Each one of us, through our existence and our choices, can help ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
A biological garden and a ‘kitchen’ where we create genuine, ‘tasty’ food for your skin!
FISIKA formulas have been designed and created exclusively in our small ‘homemade’ kitchen, using wonderful edible ingredients sourced from our land in Crete and our beloved destination, Pieria. We only use the purest and most effective high-quality ingredients, either grown in our organic garden or responsibly sourced from local farmers. These ingredients are mostly non-comedogenic organic oils (that do not clog the pores), exotic fair-trade butter varieties, and plant extracts rich in vitamins and antioxidants. So ‘tasty’ and so important!
It is also significant that we do not use sulfates, Parabens, phthalates, synthetic preservatives, fragrances, and colorants, or other unnecessary ingredients, which are usually known as skin irritants. In this way, along with the chemical analyses and controls carried out on our raw materials and final products, we can proudly promise that our products will never harm you or the environment!
Did you know that in spring, we are busy with gardening? We grow flowers such as Lavender and Calendula for use in our botanical extracts and handpick wildflowers such as wild Chamomile and Hypericum (St. John’s Wort), while also protecting their ecosystems, in unsprayed olive groves on the island and controlled areas at the foot of Mount Olympus.
When working with local farmers and women’s cooperatives, we always seek out quality and whenever possible organic crops. We can proudly say that these actions enhance biodiversity, improving ecology by increasing habitats for insects and microorganisms vital for nature. This means that FISIKA products are ecological and bee-friendly!
Our laboratory is the space where all the real ‘magic’ happens! In this clean, well-lit space, we create our products entirely, using sustainable, zero-waste, human and environmentally friendly production methods. To make soap, we use the cold process soap making method, which largely preserves the excellent properties of organic olive oil and the other natural materials we have chosen. This also ensures that the natural glycerin created is retained in each soap bar, thus greatly enhancing the moisturizing benefits of the soap that will cleanse and soften our skin without stripping away its beneficial natural oils.
We also create massage oils with cold-pressed oils, without heat, and creams for skin care, which like all our products, are produced in small, numbered, and controlled batches, to provide you with a jar of unparalleled freshness and excellent quality every time!
We produce in accordance with all laws and regulations, according to the European Commission for Cosmetics. We maintain Safety Assessments conducted by laboratories authorized by EOF and the chemist authorized by our laboratory to ensure the safety of all our products! Our laboratory has adopted a Quality Management System for the efficient and effective use of its resources.
The production, packaging, and distribution of our products are determined according to ISO 22716 with the Guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices, to ensure the reproducibility and quality of our products. Our company also holds a Production License from the National Organization for Medicines (EOF license number 86601), and our cosmetics are registered in the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP).
We are committed to continuous improvement, meeting the requirements of our customers, and ensuring an adequate workforce to provide quality results! Hello there! I am a small laboratory and I am visitable!
While we are happy to send our creations directly to your door, fresh from our laboratory, we are also open for visits! Our space in Gerani, Chania, includes everything that is FISIKA – a retail store, a small factory, and a lush courtyard for relaxation – all under the same roof, allowing the real magic to happen.
“We believe it will be wonderful for you to experience FISIKA with all your senses. It’s about what you’ll see when you enter our garden and courtyard. What you’ll hear, touch, and smell. The sounds and melodies you’ll catch, how our little dog will welcome you.
What you’ll take away from this experience, either physically or spiritually. If we can create an exceptional experience for you and connect with you – even if it’s just for a few minutes – then our mission will be fulfilled.
But it could be more than that: to meet you in person, to talk with you, to share a cup of tea in the courtyard, we think it will be incredibly relaxing. We love it when people stay and share their stories with us and want to hear our story too: because there’s a real story behind FISIKA, a story of love, honor, and respect, a story in which you can take part, a story you can share with your family and friends.

The Rural Greece is an online portal that connects travellers with unique destinations and local businesses in the countryside, offering authentic experiences through activities that highlight nature, traditions and culture.
For the Rural Greece accessibility is fundamental to enhancing an inclusive tourism experience. Following the principles of inclusion and equality, the epaithros Rural Tourism Network and its member businesses are constantly working to enhance the tourism services provided, ensuring that all visitors have the opportunity to experience the authentic beauty of the Greek countryside.
Sustainability in tourism refers to a way of developing tourism that respects and protects the environment while strengthening the local economy and preserving cultural traditions. The aim of sustainable tourism is to provide unique and authentic experiences for visitors without harming the natural and social environment, while ensuring that local communities benefit from tourism activity.
This type of tourism is based on three pillars:
With sustainable tourism, visitors can have authentic experiences, knowing that the impact of tourism on the region is positive and lasting for future generations.
For Rural Greece, localism is one of the most important factors for the development of sustainable tourism, as it promotes a strong link between the tourism product and the local society, economy and culture. Through localism, visitors get the opportunity to explore authentic elements of the destination, such as local products, traditions and culture. This not only boosts the local economy, but also helps to sustain and strengthen local businesses, creating new jobs and supporting the development of local communities.
Furthermore, localism contributes to the sustainability of the tourism sector, as it reduces the use of resources from other regions and encourages the use of local goods and services, reducing the ecological footprint of tourism activities. Thus, integrating localism into tourism practices enhances sustainability awareness, both among visitors and local businesses, creating a more responsible and sustainable tourism destination.
